🙋🏽♀️ Sawadee from us!
We spent a long weekend in Pran Buri, and it turned into one of our most memorable coastal getaways. It’s just 30 minutes from Hua Hin and about 3.5 hours from Bangkok. With its blend of sea and nature, it’s a great spot to avoid the busy tourist trails.
Enjoy this weeks List!

🗺️ The Journey: A Family Adventure in Pran Buri
A travel story

Hansar Pran Buri is built between the coastline and a rock formation
After an adventurous drive (the road to the hotel is a simple sand road through nature), we checked into Hansar Pranburi, a quiet beachfront hotel with wide sea views and a laid-back pace that hits you right away. The rooms open onto a long stretch of coastline, where we ended up taking long walks every day. It’s simple, peaceful, and the kind of place where you settle in after a busy week in the city.
In the evening, when the tide pulled back and the beach opened up, we grabbed a flashlight and went looking for tiny sea creatures with Moana. She spotted crabs faster than both of us combined. There was something really fun and nostalgic about wandering along the sand at night together, pointing out every little thing that moved.
The next morning we drove into Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, one of Thailand’s most underrated coastal parks. Here you buy a ticket for the day, which gives you entry to all of the parks’ milestones. From Chomthing Pier, we hopped onto a small wooden boat and drifted across calm water toward the Kissing Cave. As you approach, the cliffs lean toward each other in this soft curve that looks like they’re meeting in the middle for a kiss - here you can take a nice picture together.
After the cave, we continued to the Bueng Bua Nature Observation Center, and this turned out to be our favorite stop. A long wooden walkway stretches through quiet wetlands with mountains rising behind them. We spotted lotus flowers, birds and tiny fish everywhere and paused often just to take in the view.
The panorama view over the whole park is wide and surprisingly beautiful, specially at sunset (highly recommended!)
Back at Hansar we relaxed with a swim, a little reading, and some Thai food. It’s amazing how quickly you unwind here. Pran Buri has an easy, peaceful pace that feels far from Bangkok.

🦆 TIP!
If you enjoy bird watching (or you’re just curious), the Bueng Bua Nature Observation Center is a great place to spot local and migratory birds. Depending on the season, you might see herons, egrets, kingfishers, purple swamphens, and even the occasional brahminy kite circling above the wetlands.

The Bueng Bua boardwalk offers stunning views!
